Q: WHEN WAS THE FEAST OF THE TABERNACLES?
A: IT DEPENDS WHAT CALENDAR YOU ARE USING!
On the Gregorian calendar (the one you might have on your wall) the year was 948 BC.
On the Hebrew calendar, sometimes called the biblical calendar, the year was 3099 AM.
1 Kings 8:65-66 – 65 And at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt, before the Lord our God, seven days and seven days, even fourteen days.
66 On the eighth day he sent the people away: and they blessed the king, and went unto their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the Lord had done for David his servant, and for Israel his people.
2 Chronicles 7:8-10 – 8 Also at the same time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt.
9 And in the eighth day they made a solemn assembly: for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.
10 And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that the Lord had shewed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.
